2016 Giaconda Estate Vineyard Chardonnay
"The secret – if there is one – to Giaconda chardonnay is the depth of complexity achieved. It is a thing of wonder to get lost in, as you wander through layer upon layer of stone fruits, citrus and grilled nuts, almond cream, spice and then gently embedded oak. Luscious. Intriguing. Stylish."

98 points - James Suckling
Still basking in the sunlight of its vibrant freshness and, at the same time, its complexity. The Giaconda '16, '17 and '18 Chardonnays are magnificent. It is frowned upon these days to mention Burgundy, but on the scale of weight and complexity, these are the Montrachets, the Grand Crus of the Australian chardonnay landscape. The freshness and clarity of this wine keeps it right at the top. Drink by 2036.
98 points - Huon Hooke, The Real Review
A glorious chardonnay in the traditional full-throttle Giaconda style. Very rich and multi-layered, it indulges the full paintbox of winemaking inputs. Smoky chicken-stock aromas, round and generous.
95 points - Jeremy Oliver, Oliver’s Wines
Round and luscious, with a powerful core of slightly candied lemon, melon and stonefruit flavour underpinned by a fine minerality that steadily becomes more assertive. It slowly unfolds floral, nougat and matchstick-like complexity with undertones of ginger and cinnamon, finishing with mouthwatering acids and a lingering note of marzipan. Give it plenty of aeration.
