2022 Gaia & Rey Langhe Chardonnay
Founded in 1859 in the Piedmont region of Italy, Gaja is one of the world’s most revered and influential wineries, often credited with revolutionising Italian winemaking. What a beautiful chardonnay, with sliced cooked apples, pears, light cream and pineapple, but so well knit together with a mouthfeel that is caressing and fine textured. So enticing to drink now, but will improve with age. Drink or hold.

The 2022 Gaia & Rey is another terrific white from Gaja in this challenging but surprising vintage. Lemon confit, white flowers, mint and a kiss of French oak all grace this creamy, beautifully textured Chardonnay. Impressive.
