Leeuwin Estate have released 2-3 cases from their museum stock, these wines are treasures and are incredibly sought after…

96 points James Halliday
Pale, bright straw-green; fragrant grapefruit, melon and white peach aromas, the oak subtle and integrated, are followed by an exceptionally intense and long palate, the alcohol lost in the sea of flavour.

10/10, 95 points Robert Parker - Consider drinking it from 2013 to 2020+
"Around 3000 cases of the flagship Art Series Chardonnay are produced with Leeuwin Estate blocks 20, 22, 96 and 97 contributing to the blend (all Gin-Gin / Mendoza clone). It is all barrel fermented in 100% new French oak where it usually remains for around 12 months. The 2007 Art Series Chardonnay was still youthfully mute revealing a moderate intensity of peaches, oatmeal, chalk, lemon zest, ginger, anise and jasmine with the oak barely perceptible in the background. Rich, ripe, full bodied yet wonderfully structured with crisp acidity and a real minerality, this beauty has a very long finish with the oak integration already nearly seamless.

Leeuwin Estate Art Series Chardonnay is a convincing and utterly compelling wine deserving its reputation as an Australian Grand Cru with rare consistency and aging potential. The 2007 is beautifully poised between power and delicacy. The wine is pale in colour with lovely fresh lemon curd/ grapefruit/ camomile fruit and touches of verbena and pear skin. The palate is pristine, well concentrated and minerally with creamy lemon curd/ pear skin flavours, indelible fine long acidity, underlying savoury/ bisquity oak and grilled nut complexity. This is a really fresh, beautifully balanced wine with exquisite minerality and fruit complexity. When released, it will show further flavour development and richness. A really great vintage for Leeuwin Estate.
